Rivals Location Tour for Groups

Rivals Location Tour for Groups

Rivals Location Group Tour

Step into the scandalous world of Rivals and fictional Rutshire, home to Rupert Campbell-Black, Declan O'Hara and villainous Tony Baddingham. Explore grand stately homes and picturesque towns. Discover the beautiful Cotswolds, the charming counties of Wiltshire and Somerset and the buzzing city of Bristol.

Currently showing on Disney+ and with the second drop of episodes arriving later in 2026, Rivals season 2 has not disappointed, delivering yet more high octane glamour and cut-throat drama. And we are thrilled to hear season 3 may have just been commissioned so get ready for even more fabulous filming locations.

Tour Highlights

  • Beautiful Chavenage House, the Elizabethan manor house which features as The Priory, the O’Haras' home and a main location for Rivals. Scenes were filmed inside and outside, including the O'Hara family's arrival scenes in season 1, the infamous 21st birthday/New Year's Eve party complete with a camel, bedroom scenes and the bonfire scene in season 2. Locations used include the Great Hall, the Oak Room, Cromwell's Room, main entrance and porch.
  • Historic Corsham, transformed into 1980's Cotchester. See the Town Hall which stood in for Cotchester Town Hall and a polling station in season 2 and the pretty High Street doubling as Cotchester High Street. Visit the shops given a Cotchester make-over including Coppins Jewellers which is transformed into Cotchester Jewellers in season 2 and Barnett Bros newsagents, Green Ginger and the butchers which appear in season 1. Visit the pub which features as Bas Baddingham's Bar Sinister. See Charles Fairburn's house, Corsham Tourist Information Centre which appears as Chalford and Bisley polling station in season 2 and the location for the Waitrose that Rupert opens in season 2.
  • Grand Berkeley Castle, setting for the dramatic Rutshire Cup tournament in season 2.
  • Charming Tetbury, another location for fictional Cotchester.  See the location for Cameron Cook's home and where street scenes were filmed outside Market House and on Long Street, Church Street and the Chipping. See also the church which appears as the fictional Cotchester parish of 'St Agnes and St Isaac' and location for the wedding of Gerald Middleton and Muffy in season 2.
  • Enjoy a polo lesson at a prestigious polo club, another location for the season 2 polo match.
  • The vibrant city of Bristol and the Georgian square which was transformed into a 1980's street for several scenes; the Harbour Hotel, location for the British Television Awards ceremony in season 1; Bristol Harbourside, a backdrop in season 2; the restaurant in Bristol Old City where Lizzie Vereker meets her agent and Jilly Cooper makes a cameo appearance and Bristol Hippodrome Theatre which appears in season 2.
  • The 4* Bristol hotel where Maud and Declan O'Hara stay in season 2.
  • Aerospace Bristol and the Concorde hangar, location for the opening scene in season 1.
  • The railway station where Lizzie meets Freddie Jones, marking the start of their affair.
  • The location used for Penscombe, Rupert Campbell-Black's stately home.

What Our Clients Say

I was very fortunate to be on their 70th and 75th D-Day celebration tours. The service and attention to details was exceptional. It was very moving to go back.

As a Jane Austen enthusiast, this tour was perfect - and the Jane Austen Festival in Bath was just fabulous to see!

Words fail me...The Downton Abbey was a perfectly wonderful travel experience! We did not know we would be the ONLY guests at the Abbey. When we realised how truly exclusive our tour was we were speechless! Surreal being there and actually meeting Lady Carnarvon.
